achieving our potential?
May 8 - 12, 2021
The proposal period is now closed. Decisions were announced on January 17, 2020.
Deadline on December 8. There will be no extension.
The 2020 Conference Organizing Committee is pleased to invite evaluation professionals, members of academia, students, and other potential presenters to submit proposals for presentations, workshops, and thematic breakfasts that will contribute to our conference theme. There are separate calls and proposal forms for presentations, for workshops and for thematic breakfasts.
The conference will be held in Ottawa, Ontario, from June 13 to 17, 2020. Pre-conference workshops will occur on Saturday, June 13 and on Sunday, June 14.
Proposals must align with the conference theme which is: “Evaluation Utilization: Achieving our Potential?”.
The 2020 Canadian Evaluation Society (CES) Conference will explore evaluation utilization through three sub-themes by first positioning it (what is it? is it a priority?), then by achieving it (how is it achieved? how do we know it has been achieved?), and by questioning it (whose utilization?).
The timeline is as follows:
- The three calls for proposals will be issued on October 15, 2019.
- Proposals will be accepted through our online submission system starting on November 1st, 2019.
- All calls for proposals will close on December 8, 2019. This is a firm deadline. There will be no extension.
The conference organizing committee is committed to supporting diversity in all aspects of the program. This includes the conference presentations, workshops, and thematic breakfasts where we hope to feature contributions from traditionally underrepresented and marginalized groups.
