You may submit several proposals, but please note that only a maximum of two presentation proposals can be selected for one person, not counting workshop or thematic breakfast proposals.
See the Call for Workshops, the Call for Presentations and the Call for Thematic Breakfasts guidelines for further details. Proposals can be submitted between November 1 and December 8. As the conference is working under a strict deadline policy, there will be no extension to the proposal period.
A few important things to keep in mind when submitting your proposal:
Whatever you plan to submit, you must clearly link your proposal to one of the three conference sub-themes. Past experience shows that people are not always attentive to this, so please don’t make this mistake. Also, please ensure your proposal is complete. Otherwise, it won’t be considered.
However, a key point about presenting at evaluation conferences to keep in mind is that people attend sessions to satisfy their needs. They do not necessarily need to hear all the details about your project. They want to understand how your experience is relevant to their work and how they can apply what you’ve learned.
You will hear back on January 17 if your proposal is accepted, rejected or put on a waiting list. Once you hear that your proposal has been accepted, that’s the time to begin working on your presentation or workshop.
In the meantime, be sure to read the conference themes and the proposal guidelines! If you can sum up your presentation idea as an ‘elevator speech’, you’re on your way.
